🚨 1. Stay Calm, Always

Why? Because the child is dysregulated — and they need you to be the calm in the chaos.

Lower your voice. Slow your breathing. Create physical space if needed.
Avoid rapid instructions — stick to short, clear directions.

2️⃣ Consistency

Behaviour, communication and learning progress all thrive on consistency. That means using agreed strategies and sticking to them — even when it’s tough.

3️⃣ Initiative

🎯 Use the STAR Technique to Show Impact

The STAR technique is a simple structure that helps you explain what you’ve done in a way that is clear, specific, and results-focused.

STAR stands for:

Situation – What was going on?
Task – What did you need to do?
Action – What did you do?
Result – What changed because of it?

Let’s rewrite some common vague CV lines using STAR.

❌ Vague:
