School-Based Play Therapist – Waltham Forest Location: Waltham Forest Contract: Part time Pay: £30–£42 per hour PAYE The opportunity Senovo is recruiting a School-Based Play Therapist for a specialist SEN education setting in Waltham Forest. The successful candidate will join a committed team focused on helping children and young people access learning, develop confidence and make meaningful progress. Key responsibilities Assess pupils’ needs and contribute to clear, practical intervention plans. Deliver individual and small-group programmes appropriate to the role. Monitor outcomes, maintain accurate records and provide useful recommendations. Work collaboratively with education staff, families and multidisciplinary colleagues. Promote safe, ethical and inclusive practice at all times. What we are looking for A relevant recognised professional qualification for the role. Appropriate professional registration or membership where required. Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs. Strong communication, record-keeping and safeguarding practice. Useful experience includes multidisciplinary working, Play therapy, safeguarding, SEN schools, therapeutic assessment.
