The opportunity
A specialist SEN secondary setting in Newham is seeking a versatile class teacher who can bring together strong relationships, purposeful learning and consistent routines for pupils with varied additional needs.
What you will do
- Plan and deliver an accessible secondary curriculum matched to individual starting points.
- Adapt teaching and assessment around EHCP outcomes and communication needs.
- Lead classroom support staff and maintain a calm, ambitious learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with families, therapists and pastoral colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records and excellent safeguarding practice.
What you will bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant classroom experience are required. You will bring confident differentiation, clear leadership and a child-centred approach. SEND or specialist-school experience is highly desirable.
