The opportunity
A supportive SEN school in Richmond upon Thames needs a Teaching Assistant who can combine attentive classroom support with dignified personal care for pupils with complex physical and learning needs.
What you will do
- Help pupils participate in lessons, communication activities and school routines.
- Provide agreed personal care only when trained and authorised.
- Support mobility, positioning and use of specialist equipment in line with plans.
- Notice and record important changes in comfort, engagement and independence.
- Work respectfully with teaching, therapy and care colleagues.
What you will bring
- Relevant experience in SEN, education, health or care settings.
- A calm, respectful approach to intimate care and complex needs.
- Willingness to complete role-specific moving, handling and care training.
- QTS is not required for this classroom-support role.
