The opportunity
A specialist SEN school environment in Sutton is seeking a compassionate Learning Assistant to help pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities access sensory learning, communication and everyday school life.
What you will do
- Provide attentive one-to-one and small-group support throughout the day.
- Use sensory approaches, intensive interaction and communication systems directed by teachers and therapists.
- Support mobility, positioning and personal care where trained and authorised.
- Notice and record small but meaningful changes in engagement and progress.
- Promote comfort, dignity, safety and positive participation.
What you will bring
Relevant experience in SEN, education, health or care is desirable. You will be observant, respectful and willing to complete role-specific moving, handling and care training. QTS is not required for this classroom-support role.
