The opportunity
A specialist SEN education setting in Barnet is seeking a confident Geography teacher who can make places, people and environments meaningful for pupils with varied learning and communication needs. You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team focused on progress, independence and positive classroom experiences.
What you will do
- Plan and deliver accessible Geography lessons with clear, achievable outcomes.
- Adapt maps, fieldwork, visual resources and assessment around individual needs and EHCP priorities.
- Build a calm, structured classroom with consistent routines and high expectations.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records and excellent safeguarding practice.
What you will bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), secure Geography subject knowledge and relevant classroom experience are required. You will bring thoughtful differentiation, strong communication and a child-centred approach. SEND or inclusive-school experience is highly desirable.
